ANNUAL WATKINS GLEN/CORNING LABOR DAY WEEKEND EVENTS
Welcome Reception 9/1 Thursday Evening 7-9pm at International Motor Racing Research Center, 610 S. Decatur St., Watkins Glen, NY.
See the extensive collections of materials and documents representing the history of motorsports. Hors d’oeuvres and non-alcoholic drinks will be served. Cash bar. All members and guests welcome!
Track Event: Friday through Sunday, September 2nd -4th.
We will be sharing the track with IndyCars. The Indy Race will take place on Sunday and we will be in prime location to enjoy it. You can see the Practice and Qualifying Sessions too. Our schedule has been adjusted so there is no loss of track time. We will be on the track each morning by 7:30 am. There will be two drivers meetings Friday and Sunday mornings at 7 am for those who wish to start at 7:30 am and 8:30 am for those who wish to sleep in. Attendance at one of these meetings is required. On Saturday, the meetings will be at 7:30 am and 9 am. Guests must be registered to enter the track. Please submit names to Bob Coates with your registration.

3 days of fantastic driving on this recently repaved legendary race track! Please complete the FCA Track Event Inspection Form prior to the event. Note: Tech Inspection Forms should be completed by an authorized Ferrari Dealer or reputable independent service centers. Convertible cars must have rollover protection. Pop-up bars are not acceptable. 360, F430, and 458 Spiders are acceptable. FCA track event guidelines are available here. Dinner Cruise on Seneca Lake, Friday, September 2nd, 6:45 pm –
Board Captain Bill’s Seneca Legacy at Watkins Glen starting 6:45 pm. The ship will depart at 7:30 pm for a scenic dinner cruise on Seneca Lake. Enjoy a 4 course dinner onboard. $70 per person, includes cruise, dinner, taxes and gratuities. Cash Bar. Crystal City Ferrari Show, Saturday, September 3rd, 6 pm – 9 pm
All Ferrari owners will have the opportunity to display their Ferraris on historic Market Street in Corning’s Gaffer District as part of the annual Crystal City Ferrari Show. There will be exhibits, vendors, VIP reception (free for those who REGISTER to displaying their vehicles), live entertainment in the Centerway Square, and voting for the Annual People’s Choice Award. Race and Challenge Car owners are encouraged to drive their cars from Watkins Glen to Market Street behind a police escort after the track event on Saturday. Secure indoor parking for the race cars will be available at the Corning Police Station, and the Corning Police Department will provide an escort back to Watkins Glen Raceway the following morning.
This event is organized by the Upstate Chapter of the Empire State Region and generously sponsored by Corning Enterprises.
Challenge Car Racing (CCR) will also be joining us this weekend for some exciting wheel to wheel racing on Friday afternoon!
