Hudson Valley Chapter Member Wins at Lime Rock Concours

Michael Greenblatt, of the ESR’s Hudson Valley Chapter, received the prestigious Chairman’s Award for his 1983 Ferrari 512 BBi at the Concours d’Elegance on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Lime Rock Park’s 42nd Annual Historic Festival. Greenblatt’s car was entered in the Post-War European Closed class and was chosen from over 300 entries at the Concours. The Rossa Corsa of Michael’s car glistened in the sun and perfect weather on Sunday. He commented how over the last year or so he’d put significant amounts of time, effort and energy into the car to ensure its originality. He is the third owner of the car which he bought in 1989 and uses it regularly with his wife Mary.

The event marked the 60th anniversary of the Ford Mustang and many significant Ford cars were on hand as well. Famed collector Ross Meyers brought several significant Ford-powered sports cars, racers, and hot rods. Additionally, about 1000 cars lined the Lime Rock Circuit in the Gathering of the Marques where there were special reserved parking areas of specific manufacturers. Ferrari had its spot on the Paul Newman Straight, formerly known as the “No Name Straight.” We’re already looking forward to the 43 rd Annual Historic Festival at Lime Rock in 2025 and an even larger gathering of Ferraris.
