Upcoming FCA Events in Connecticut

Dear Connecticut FCA Members:

Now is the time to enjoy upcoming FCA events to enjoy the warmer Ferrari driving seasons.   

Do not post on FerrariChat.   Please RSVP where indicated for planning, your Ferrari parking, and catering.

For the many newer members, we all look forward you joining us at future events, and enjoy the comradely.

This Saturday April 2:  Automobile Restorations, Inc (ARI) Stratford, CT @ 1pm, per invitation of the great folks at the Automobile Motor Enthusiasts (AME) car club. Includes a Ferrari Caravan from Greenwich to ARI.   If you’re not familiar with AME, it is an informal car enthusiasts club that meets for a dinner at the Darien Country Club once a month and occasionally has other enjoyable events.  We park our cars on the glorious lawn and have dinner outside or inside, the country club.  If you are interested in attending upcoming events throughout the year, please let me know.

Arrive by 1:00pm  Kent Bain host us for a tour of ARI’s facility, and he and Murray Smith will regale us with stories about their car adventures. Snacks and refreshments.   Please RSVP to:  fcaconnecticut@gmail.com

 

This Sunday, April 3:  Formula 1 Bahrain race at Miller Motorcars in Greenwich on two jumbo screens! 

Miller Motorcars will provide complimentary lunch for this event too.  Race starts at 11am!. There’s more!   Pirelli  press releases for critical tire/racing strategy, a $60 tire rebate coupon.  See attached files.

Arrive by 10:30am for ample parking  and seating!  We will have a very large turnout to this popular event.

   – 10:00am – 11:00am  Coffee, donuts, seating, race strategy info, raffle prize, welcoming.  

   – 11:00am F1 Race begins

   – 11:30am – 1pm  Brick oven pizza choices, salads, gelato, and refreshments.  

   – After 1pm:  Post race discussion. Miller Motorcars test drives available throughout the day.

April 20: Ferraris, conversation, and catered food and refreshments at P1 Motorcars at 65 Halloween Blvd in Stamford, CT @ 5pm – 8pm (Wed)

May 1:    Cars and Coffee at Lombardo Motorcars at 2280 Berlin Turnpike Berlin, CT 06037 Coffee n donuts, 9am – 12pm, no RSVP necessary.

May 22:  Caffeine and Carburetors at 8am, Wavenly Park,  New Canaan, CT  (non-FCA event)

June 5:  “Dawn Patrol” 7:15am breakfast at Miller Motorcars for a caravan to the Greenwich Concours.  “Dawn Patrol” hats will provide for complementary entrance to Greenwich concours.   Please RSVP for your concours parking and catering:   fcaconnecticut@gmail.com

July 29-30: Ferrari Track Days at Lime Rock Park (LRP) in Lakeville, CT with our FCA friends from the Empire (NY) and Penn-New Jersey regions. No experience necessary and instructors are available. Bob Coates email: rc@parawire.com

Note: Even if you don’t participate in the track day(s), it’s always a wonderful day to be at the track in northwest Connecticut with other motorhead enthusiasts to join in our camaraderie and fun.  If member interest, we may even include a caravan on Friday to LRP.  RSVP: fcaconnecticut@gmail.com

August 27-28: Dream Ride 2016 in Farmington, CT  – Cars, motorcycles and athletes gather for fun and fundraising for Special Olympics and other worthy causes (Sponsored by Bozzuto’s Inc., a non-FCA event) www.dreamride.org
